Hey everyone! A little bit about myself:
I was born in San Antonio, Texas but was raised in Round Rock, Texas where I attended elementary, middle, and high school. I went to University of Alabama-Birmingham on a track and field scholarship for 2 years, then after tearing my ACL, I moved back to Texas and finished about my degree in interdisciplinary studies at Texas State University. I love the arts: dancing, singing, acting, drawing and I even like to try my hand at painting, sewing and musical instruments. I've danced at churches, weddings, school functions and in plays, as well as acted in a couple of plays. I have been married to my best friend for 4 years, and we have been together for 9 years. He too grew up in Round Rock where we met at and attended the same church. I have enjoyed kids since my first time babysitting them at the age of 12. No, I didn't know that I was going to be a teacher, but it just made sense to become one. When I teach a child, I don't just teach the present student, but the adult student. I want my words to live beyond the classroom. I am soft-spoken, but firm in my teaching technique, however, my students will NEVER have to question if I love them or not. We have fun and they allow me to enjoy being a kid, while at the same time they're being respectful, responsible and safe, of course ;-). Thank you for the opportunity!
